Parkway's Hour of CodeVisit the Parkway Library's CODING page or Code.org's website to learn more about
computer science and give computer coding a try! Grades K5 through grade 3 students had the opportunity to try computer coding. Many students utilized partner programming, where one student is the driver (works the mouse & keyboard) and one the navigator (help give directions and support), to tackle some tough coding puzzles. Students used communication, collaboration and creative thinking to problem solve.
THANK YOU to our coding partners: Mrs. Krychowiak (School Board member), Mr. Gallitz, Mrs. Ische and Mrs. Hinchey.

Hour of Code ... was a blast!
Check out the CODING page for pictures and student feedback!
Computer Science Education Week is in December. During this week in library media, students will have an opportunity to try coding. Students will learn about computer science terms, such as sequences and loops, and students will be able to get hands-on with problem solving, coding, testing and debugging! Coding helps build life skills like perseverance, problem solving and collaboration, by engaging with technology in a safe learning environment. |
